Here, students are first introduced to the theoretical basis of economic integration in globalization in the direction of the world economy, transnationalization, geoeconomics, foreign trade models, competitiveness and economic efficiency of the national economy as well as international organizations regulating global trade, such as the WTO and the WCO, and their impact on the formation of Azerbaijan's customs policy. On the modern organization of customs work, areas related to customs policy in Azerbaijan, such as the improvement of customs work, optimization of customs duties and taxes are analyzed.

Optimal organization of customs policy based on state regulation of foreign trade is the main subject of this specialty. Students of this specialty prepare a dissertation which analyzes challenges encountered in the theory and practice in the field of customs. Master’s students also have internships in various departments of the customs authorities and are a priority in recruitment in the customs service.
